




課程介紹

學習型玩具結合遊戲、操作、學習與創意設計,透過實際體驗與互動,讓玩具不只是娛樂工具,也成為促進兒童學習與發展的重要媒介。

本課程從學習型玩具與心理、行為及多元差異出發,帶領學生探索玩具的發展、社會文化、性別觀點與教育功能,並透過案例分析與實際操作,理解不同類型玩具的設計理念與學習價值。

課程強調 PBL 問題導向學習與「做中學」,學生將透過玩具體驗、產品觀察、分組討論、案例研討與設計實作,探索功能性玩具、社會性玩具與學科型玩具,並逐步發展自己的學習型玩具構想。

本課程為 EMI(English as a Medium of Instruction)課程,透過操作與體驗各類玩具,降低語言學習的距離,讓學生在實際情境中進行探索、討論與創作。

從玩具探索到設計實作,學生最終將完成學習型玩具的操作實驗、設計規劃與玩具雛形,進一步思考玩具如何結合教育、學習、創意與未來科技。
Course Overview

Learning toys integrate play, hands-on interaction, learning, and creative design. Through exploration and experience, toys can serve not only as tools for entertainment but also as meaningful media for supporting children’s learning and development.

This course explores learning toys from the perspectives of psychology, behavior, diversity, social culture, and gender. Students examine the development and educational functions of toys through case studies, product exploration, and hands-on experiences, gaining an understanding of different toy categories and their design principles.

The course emphasizes Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and learning by doing. Through toy exploration, product observation, group discussion, case studies, and practical design activities, students investigate functional toys, social toys, and subject-based educational toys while developing their own learning toy concepts.

This course is an EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) course. Through hands-on interaction with a variety of toys, students are encouraged to explore, discuss, and create in authentic learning situations, making the use of English a natural part of the learning experience.

From toy exploration to hands-on design, students will ultimately conduct toy operation experiments, develop design plans, and create learning toy prototypes, while further exploring how toys can connect education, learning, creativity, and emerging technologies.

許多學生以學習型玩具為起點,將課程中的玩具操作、設計與探究成果,進一步發展為研討會發表、期刊研究與教育實踐。課程鼓勵學生從玩具設計與實際操作出發,探索兒童學習、遊戲行為、STEM/STEAM 教育與數位學習等議題,將課堂中的創作與實作成果延伸至更廣泛的學術與教育場域。
Many student projects developed through the course have been further extended into conference presentations, journal publications, and educational research. Students are encouraged to build upon their toy design, hands-on exploration, and experimentation to investigate topics such as children’s learning, play behavior, STEM/STEAM education, and digital learning, bringing their classroom creations and practical experiences into broader academic and educational contexts.
